Jessie & Roland’s Forsyth Park Wedding

Jessie & Roland’s Forsyth Park wedding was absolutely gorgeous. They were married by Rev. Steve Schulte on a beautiful December day in Savannah, GA in front of the famous Forsyth Park fountain. They prepared for their big day at the Mansion on Forsyth, which is an AMAZING 125-room Victorian Romanesque luxury venue. Jessie’s beautiful bouquet of red roses was designed by one of Savannah’s premier florists, Garden on the Square. The live classical wedding music was performed by Chris Dooley on the violin. After the Forsyth Park wedding ceremony it was back to the Mansion for the first dance, toast and cake cutting; then Jessie and Roland enjoyed a horse drawn carriage tour of historic Savannah provided by Madison Tour Company.

Congratulations to Jessie and Roland, They had GORGEOUS weather for an outdoor December wedding. Good thing they didn’t wait a few weeks longer because the Polar Vortex made it’s way to Savannah and froze our fountain yesterday!!mansion on forsyth

Congratulations to Kim & Matt!!

“Matt and I began talking on line about a year and a half ago. We found that we had a great deal in common even though he is 8 years younger than me. Soon after we began dating we redid a kitchen together working nights and weekends. That is where he proposed to me….in the middle of the kitchen we worked so hard on last September. I had no clue he was going to propose nor that he had picked out the perfect ring. Our families are scattered so we originally thought about Vegas but decided on Savannah so that more friends and family could attend. We found Reverend Schulte online and saw that he had great reviews. We contacted him and drove to Savannah in March to meet him and pick out the square and hotels. Matt and I had both been to Savannah at separate times but never together and loved the rich history and beauty of it.

We let him handle the details of everything but the reception. We chose the service (vows), music, and bouquet ribbon color and everything was perfect and handled down to the last detail by Steve. The Andaz did the reception which was fantastic as well. Ann at the Andaz was phenomenal to work with.

The hair style originated from a picture that Matt showed me several months ago. We both loved it so I decided that is what I wanted for the wedding. I debated about attempting to find someone in Savannah to do it but I knew there needed to be a trial run. I ended up asking my own hairdresser and friend to come down for the weekend to do it for me. Tracy practiced it from the picture the weekend before then she and her sister started working on it at 7:45 Saturday morning. My hair looked just like the picture and she did a great job.

The wedding truly was a fairy tale wedding and I couldn’t be happier with any of it. Thank you so much for capturing our special day.”

Forsyth Park Wedding {Donnie & Maria} Savannah, GA

Sometimes you just never know who you might bump into while getting hitched in Savannah! As we were walking around taking some fun shots after the ceremony, who do we see but Forrest Gump himself! Which was AWESOME. And he was so sweet to pose with us too. I love Savannah weddings!

Here is the story of how Donnie & Maria met, “Donnie and I met 8 months ago through my cousin. She had invited each of us as well as others to meet on a Friday after work at Monty’s in Miami (It’s a marina/restaurant/bar). Both Donnie and I originally declined – however, at the end of the day I called her and told her I’d be there. Donnie showed up a few hours after we’d all arrived. We all spent several hours eating, talking and just laughing. The next day the group took a drive down to Islamorada for lunch and afterwards Donnie and I went to watch a movie and dinner. We hit it off instantly and have been together since. He proposed on Valentines Day and on May 6th we got married.”

Donnie & Maria were married by Rev. Schulte on a beautiful spring day in Forsyth Park. I just loved the colors in the bouquet and boutonniere that came from Lester’s Florist.

Congratulations to Donnie & Maria! I will never forget our brush with Hollywood lol.

Forsyth Park Wedding {Matt & Missy} Savannah, GA

Matt & Missy met in high school and have been together ever since; they traveled here from Ohio and were married by Rev. Schulte in beautiful Forsyth Park. “We chose Savannah because Matt’s sister had told us it was one of the top places in the US to get married, and it was beautiful and different from going to get married on a beach- which was what I wanted to do until I saw downtown Savannah. It is gorgeous here!”

I just loved Missy’s gorgeous dress and unique bouquet that matched Matt’s boutonniere, which were both made by Missy’s sister- awesome jobl!

Congratulations to Matt & Missy and thank you so much for changing your ceremony time so I would not miss Henry’s very first soccer game; that meant the world to me!

Forsyth Park Wedding { Nadine & Rudy} Savannah, GA

Had such a fun time photographing Rudy & Nadine’s Forsyth wedding. I am pretty sure that Rudy was a SNL cast member in his former life! Nadine’s super cute updo was provided by Hot Headz Salon and Rev. Schulte performed the ceremony. They even shared a dance to the music of a random trombone player- love it!

From the bride:  “Rudy and I met at work a few years ago. We became “work” friends. We worked with the same group of people so occassionally there would be group lunches, group meetings. As time passed, we became “friend” friends. The people at work kept trying to put us together, but I refused “because he smokes”. However, when I had a death in the family that took me to the Northeast for 10 days, Rudy was one of 3 friends that called me during that time. When I returned, we continued to hang out “as friends” for a couple of months, until one day that it dawned on both of us that we enjoyed being together and missed each other when we weren’t together. We began officially dating and 2 1/2 years later are husband and wife. I guess our friends were right when they said we would be a great couple…..”

Congratulations to Rudy & Nadine!

Forsyth Park Wedding {Glenn & Laura} Savannah, GA

Glenn & Laura were married by Rev. Schulte in front of my favorite fountain a few days ago. This was their first time in Savannah, so of course they had no choice but to fall in love with all the beauty and charm of Forsyth Park and Savannah. The energy between these two was fantastic! Just magical. And I LOVED Laura’s bouquet of gorgeous flowers made by Garden on the Square, don’t you? Congratulations to Glenn & Laura!

Savannah Wedding | Forsyth Park {Patrick & Lisa}

Patrick and Lisa planned an intimate ceremony to take place in Forsyth Park in front of the fountain. Imagine their disappointment when they arrived and saw that the fountain was in the middle of a makeover! Yikes!

lisa-patrick001

Luckily, Forsyth is jam packed with lots of beautiful spots for a ceremony, and we found the perfect one underneath a pink cherry blossom tree.
Rev. Schulte performed the ceremony and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect, hard to believe it is February!

Savannah Marriage Proposal | Lafayette Square {Kayleigh & Alex}

It was great fun to be paparazzi for a day and photograph a surprise wedding proposal! The mother of the bride-to-be called me from Jacksonville to arrange all the details of the proposal. The adorable couple arrived at Lafayette Square via horse & carriage {Madison Tour Company} as I waited on a nearby bench. As Kayleigh & Alex walked toward the fountain I pretended to be photographing a stranger’s dog so she wouldn’t get suspicious.
I don’t think she even saw me until the proposal was over…..it was one of the sweetest moments I have ever seen!
