I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Chris and Amanda last fall when they travelled from Chattanooga to have their wedding in front of the fountain in our beautiful Forsyth Park. The always fun and endearing Tybee Jack performed the ceremony, then afterwards Chris and Amanda hopped on their incredibly cool bikes, (complete with personalized “Mr. & Mrs.” tags that were made by Chris from old license plates- talk about creative!!!) and rode off into the sunset…well, not really because it was morning. We wandered around Forsyth Park and snapped lots of fun pics using the cute props Amanda had made and then stopped in the Fragrant Gardens for some more photo opps. We continued on toward the big field where we spotted the SCAD Men’s Lacrosse Team in the middle of a practice- and decided to ask if they would mind if my Newlyweds joined in for a few minutes. I have to say that was definitely a first for me! I’d like to send out a special thank you to the team for graciously humoring our request and allowing us to briefly crash their practice….makes me proud to be a SCAD Alum. After all of the excitement, Chris and Amanda finished off our session by sharing a cocktail at the bar inside the Mansion on Forsyth. We parted ways and agreed to meet up again the next day for their ‘Day After’ shoot on Tybee Island. We started out by the lighthouse on North Beach and ended up by the docks near Chatham Ave. My favorite part was watching them try out their paddleboards for the first time as husband and wife- completely adorable!
Congratulations to Chris and Amanda- your sessions were definitely one of my most unique and enjoyable to date!!!!
